LEAP Year Event is our annual fundraiser when the community comes together to make LEAP's free programs for youth from low-income neighborhoods possible. This year our event takes place on February 23rd, 2023. Last year, our in-person* and virtual options were so successful that we will have both in-person and virtual options available again this year! In-person dinner locations span between NYC to New Haven; virtually, travel to Jordan! To keep the tradition alive and support our local businesses, there will be a dinner option available for virtual guests. A different notable Guest of Honor joins each dinner party, providing a special theme for each gathering. Guests of Honor are academics, authors, artists, activists, performers, elected officials, media personalities, journalists, and a range of other talented individuals who lead a conversation on a topic of their expertise.

UPDATE: The reception will now take place virtually at 6:30 pm on Thursday 2/23. The link to the live streamed reception will be sent to ticket holders. Join us for this special event honoring Sydney Perry and Alder Jeanette Morrison

Dinner-Included Ticket for Large Group Conversation on Zoom include at least two three-course dinner choices from one of the following restaurants: Caffé Bravo (East Rock, New Haven), RAWA (Whalley Avenue, New Haven), Sandra's Next Generation (The Hill, New Haven), September in Bangkok (Downtown, New Haven) and Zinc (Downtown, New Haven).

LEAP Year Event 2023 promises the fundamental ingredients that make it such a special event both in- person and virtual; an evening of fascinating conversation, rich learning and connecting as a community! We are thrilled to continue this cherished tradition for our LEAP family with options for everyone!

*Proof of vaccine is required to purchase tickets to in-person conversations and participants will be required to test as appropriate closer to the event date. If it is not safe to be in person, we will move to additional virtual options*

Want to get involved?

There are many roles that make the LEAP Year Event possible each year. We would love for you to join in any capacity you feel comfortable.

Attendee: Join the event by buying tickets to the conversation of your choosing! Have a wonderful evening knowing that you are supporting an amazing cause.

Sponsor: Looking to support a great cause while getting unmatched publicity with prominent business leaders and community members in the new haven area? Become a Sponsor at one of the many levels available, from Neighbor (contributing $500) to our Hero Sponsors, Noble Wealth Advisors of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, and Roger Ibbotson (contributing $25,000). Your name and logo will be shared in multiple print and digital materials which are distributed to our database of over 5,000 people. Here is more description of the sponsor levels and benefits.

Dinner Host: Contribute as a Host to help offset costs for dinner options for our larger Zoom conversations. Dinner choices are available for guests from local restaurants we are delighted to support. Take a look at our Dinner Hosting Pyramid to see what level of contribution makes sense for you. Your donation ensures more of our fundraising proceeds goes directly into LEAP's programming to support our LEAPers.

Interested in any of these roles? Contact Alison Bonds, Deputy Director of Development and Communications at abonds@leapforkids.org.
