David Aldaz Jr.
Fair Haven South Site Coordinator
I am the new Fair Haven South Site Coordinator. I was born and raised in the Fair Haven neighborhood. I am an alumni of Connecticut College, Class of 2019, where I double-majored in Psychology and Dance, as well as participated in Varsity Squash all four years. My first time working with LEAP was the summer of 2020, where I worked as a Senior Counselor at Hill South Site and loved it! The kids and staff were amazing to work with, in which I decided to continue working alongside LEAP and applied for this position. Some of my hobbies include dancing, spending weekends with family, and wishing Friends was still on Netflix. When I first started at LEAP, I felt the opposite of what most would feel when starting a new job. Instead of that awkward, nervous feeling of not knowing what will happen, I instantly felt welcomed, and I loved the kids. Being a Site Coordinator I get to see even more of the kids and counselors and see how much of a family this organization is, even behind the scenes. LEAP is an amazing place to work at, to be, and to get that feeling of a second family from.
