Leaders In Training (LITs)
LEAP’s LIT Program 2020 is happening! Leaders In Training (LITs) are 13 to 15-year-old LEAPers. They are an essential part of LEAP. LITs both support senior and junior counselors by volunteering with younger children and get their own unique age-appropriate programming which includes academic support, health education, community service, team building, and job exploration. LITs receive a small stipend as well as the opportunity to advance into other positions at LEAP, including Junior Counselors and Swim Instructors.
LEAP’s LIT program will also follow all of the rules around wearing masks, social distancing and sanitizing. The program will be held outside at LEAP’s community center in small groups of teens and counselors. LITs can come from any New Haven neighborhood.
The Online application is available at the bottom of this page. In addition to completing the online application below, you must also email images of the applicant's medical physical and insurance card to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include "LIT" and the teen's name in the subject line of the email.
