Leaders In Training (LITs)
Watch this video and read below to learn about LEAP's LIT program.
Leaders In Training or LITs are 13 to 15-year-old LEAPers. They are an essential part of LEAP. LITs both support senior and junior counselors by volunteering with younger children and get their own unique age-appropriate programming which includes academic supports, health education, PSAT prep classes, community service, team building, swim lessons, and job exploration. LITs receive a small stipend as well as the opportunity to advance into other positions at LEAP, including Junior Counselors and Swim Instructors. If you (or your child) wants to become an LIT, please download and fill out the application and bring it to our office at 31 Jefferson Street, New Haven. Or you can pick up an application at the office.
